Our Team.
Led by hospitality veteran Scott Ruddock, 55 Café boasts a consummate team of professionals with experience in high-end restaurants around the world. Our Barista, Ata, leads the beverage program, serving the finest coffees and cocktails. Chef Mike, trained in France and with a background in 5-star resorts, heads our kitchen team, showcasing the finest ingredients from around New Zealand using a blend of European and Asian cooking techniques.

As part of Albany’s only 3-star Green building, Bistro 55 is committed to green initiatives and eco-friendly practices. We prioritize sourcing local and organic ingredients, minimizing waste through composting and recycling, and using energy-efficient appliances.
